2005

TMC is a family-owned company,
founded in 2005 by Miss Marlys Claassen.

TMC is a family-owned company, founded in 2005 by Miss Marlys Claassen. She started with 2 minivans and a designated van carrying only suitcases, with 4 multi deployable staff members who were deployed as bus drivers, guides, and hostesses. The company has since then grown to now owning multiple busses of different sizes and approx. 55 employees working in different divisions of Tourism Management Curaçao.

2014

Caimin Douglas took over the company TMC from his mother Marlys

A career switch from professional athlete to entrepreneur. Until 2011, Caimin was known to the public as one of the sprinters of the Dutch 4x100m relay team. Caimin has competed in multiple world championships and is a 3 time Olympian.

Under his supervision he started working on further professionalizing the solid foundation that his mother has put in place. The top quality we deliver meets the strict standards of TUI, the largest tour operator in the world that has been our partner for the past 17 years.

2016

Caimin life partner Kim Moehamad joined the company.

In 2016 his life partner Kim Moehamad joined the company. Together they continued building the company brand and diversification of the company. Investing in luxurious fleet for transportation and tours, using modern technology/software to enhance the customer experience.

2018/2019

Winning the Tripadvisor Choice two years in a row is the biggest customer experience reward.

While tourism on the island continues to grow, the company sees an opportunity to develop more of its own tours with an increasing demand for off-road adventures. In 2018/2019 they invest in two luxury robust Safari Jeeps and UTV’s in which guests explore unbeaten paths, nature’s best kept secrets guests can’t explore by car or bus.

2018

Curaçao Activities is the local expert for all your Tours & Activities and continues to grow.

Over the years the company expanded its marketing & sales channels, launching the Brand Curaçao Activities in 2018. With their online booking platform www.curacaoactivities.com they offer a wide variety of tours & activities. Off-line Curaçao Activities operates the activity & concierge desk at the Curaçao Marriott and an Activities shop in Curaçao’s largest mall Sambil in Piscadera. This is also the starting point for their popular UTV tour.

2019

Adding Incentives, Events and Groups in 2019 as a 3rd pillar TMC is now a full-service Destination Management Company for Leisure, Corporate and International Sport Events.

We have a network of highly specialized suppliers and partners with who together we know how to make an event/program a successful one!

2022

One of the Highlights of 2022 is hosting one the largest incentive program ever held on Curaçao for the Zscaler Presidents Club. Organizing all local Transportation, a two-day Activity Program, setting up a pop-up thread shop for 500 people, creating the ultimate Curaçao Experience. Working with their Events & Travel Team was truly amazing and help them reach their program goals.

The future for Incentive travel to Curaçao looks bright and we can’t wait to bring more groups to our lovely island.

Caimin Douglas

CEO TMC

Caimin is a former professional Dutch athlete and 3-time Olympian, growing up in Curaçao, continued as a student-athlete in the US and furthered his athletic professional career is Europe. Caimin has incorporated his Top Sports Mind Set in his company. Focus is to Deliver, Learn through Self-Reflection, Excel through good Preparation and Consistency. He is a charismatic visionary that always thinks ahead, how to evolve and stay on top.

Marketing & Sales Director

Kim has a professional background in Business Process Management and Marketing, always focused on improving the Customer Experience through Innovation and High-Quality Services. Destination Management is her passion. She is head of the Activities and Groups department. With care and professionalism, she goes on and beyond to find the best solution for the client.
